Around the World in Four Ballparks: A Guide to the 2026 World Baseball Classic Venues

Four cities. Four ballparks. Twenty countries competing for one title. The 2026 World Baseball Classic takes baseball fans from Tokyo to San Juan, Houston and finally Miami, with each destination offering a completely different way to experience the game.

Whether you want the traditions of Japanese baseball, the energy of Puerto Rican fans or the passion of the championship rounds in Miami, here’s what makes each 2026 WBC venue worth the trip.

Tokyo Dome (Tokyo, Japan)

Pool C | March 5–10

The Tokyo Dome is practically part of the World Baseball Classic itself. It has hosted games in every edition of the tournament since the inaugural WBC in 2006, and in 2026 it welcomed defending champion Japan alongside Australia, Chinese Taipei, Czechia and Korea.

For a traveling baseball fan, Tokyo offers something very different from an MLB game. Japanese baseball culture is known for coordinated cheering, songs and passionate supporter sections, making the atmosphere a major part of the experience.

Then there is Tokyo itself. A WBC trip here can easily become a full vacation filled with Japanese food, neighborhoods such as Shibuya and Shinjuku and plenty more baseball culture beyond the tournament.

Hiram Bithorn Stadium (San Juan, Puerto Rico)

Pool A | March 6–11

If your ideal baseball game is loud, energetic and packed with national pride, San Juan is hard to beat.

Hiram Bithorn Stadium returned to the World Baseball Classic in 2026 after previously hosting games in 2006, 2009 and 2013. Puerto Rico played its opening-round games here alongside Canada, Colombia, Cuba and Panama.

Baseball has deep roots in Puerto Rico, and a WBC game gives visiting fans a chance to experience that passion on an international stage. Add San Juan’s beaches, Puerto Rican food and historic Old San Juan, and this may be the easiest destination to turn into a baseball vacation.

Go here for: Passionate crowds, Caribbean atmosphere and national pride.

Daikin Park (Houston, Texas)

Pool B + Quarterfinals | March 6–14

Houston joined the WBC host-city lineup for the first time in 2026, with Daikin Park hosting both opening-round games and two quarterfinals.

The home of the Houston Astros provides a more familiar MLB-style experience, but the international tournament gives the ballpark a very different feel. The 2026 event also featured a WBC Fan Zone outside the stadium with live music, baseball activities and other pregame entertainment.

Houston also gives traveling fans plenty to eat between games. Texas barbecue, Tex-Mex and the city’s diverse international food scene make food almost as important as baseball during a WBC trip.

Go here for: MLB ballpark atmosphere, knockout baseball and great food.

loanDepot park (Miami, Florida)

Pool D + Quarterfinals + Semifinals + Final | March 6–17

If you want to be where the biggest WBC games happen, Miami is the obvious choice.

loanDepot park hosted Pool D before welcoming quarterfinals, both semifinals and the championship game. It had already made tournament history in 2023 as the first venue to host games in all three rounds of a single WBC, and it did so again in 2026.

Miami also feels particularly suited to international baseball. The city’s strong Caribbean and Latin American influences add another layer to the experience, especially when teams from baseball-loving nations arrive with thousands of supporters.

And when you’re not at the stadium, Little Havana, Cuban food, Miami Beach and the city’s nightlife give you plenty of reasons to extend the trip.

Go here for: Championship drama and a full baseball-meets-vacation experience.
