Where to Stay for LIV Golf Adelaide 2026

Golf by day, Adelaide by night? LIV Golf Adelaide gives you plenty of options when deciding where to base yourself. The 2026 tournament takes place at The Grange Golf Club from February 12th–15th, but staying right beside the course isn’t your only option. Adelaide CBD puts restaurants and nightlife on your doorstep, Glenelg gives you a beach break between rounds, while Henley Beach keeps you closer to the golf. Here’s how the main areas compare.

1. Adelaide CBD: Best for First-Time Visitors

Best for: Restaurants, nightlife and sightseeing
Distance from The Grange: Approximately 12–14 km

Adelaide CBD makes the most sense if LIV Golf is only part of your trip. You’ll have the city’s restaurants, bars, shopping and attractions close by, while still being able to get to The Grange without renting a car. For LIV Golf Adelaide 2026, dedicated City Loop shuttles ran directly to Gate C at The Grange, and valid tournament tickets included free travel on Adelaide Metro buses, trains and trams.

Where to Stay

  • ibis Adelaide: A more attainable city option with a central location near Rundle Mall. It is a good choice if you want to keep accommodation costs under control without staying outside the CBD.
  • The Chancellor on Currie: A mid-range boutique option on Currie Street, close to Adelaide’s restaurant and bar precincts. Rooms generally start around A$165, making it a useful middle ground between budget hotels and the city’s five-star properties.
  • Mayfair Hotel: The splurge option. This luxury hotel sits on King William Street near Rundle Mall and is a strong choice if you want LIV Golf weekend to double as an upscale Adelaide city break.

Choose the CBD if: You want the widest choice of hotels, restaurants and things to do outside the tournament.

2. Glenelg: Best for Golf + Beach

Best for: Beach atmosphere and easy event transportation
Distance from The Grange: Approximately 12 km

Glenelg is arguably the most fun place to stay if you want LIV Golf to feel like a vacation. You can spend your mornings by the beach, head to the tournament during the day and return to Jetty Road’s restaurants and bars afterward. It was also particularly practical during LIV Golf Adelaide 2026 because a dedicated Glenelg-to-LIV Golf shuttle operated on all four tournament days, running between Glenelg and Gate C at The Grange.

Where to Stay

  • Oaks Glenelg Liberty Suites: A practical apartment-style option with kitchens and larger rooms, close to the beach and Jetty Road. Published rates start around A$139, although event-weekend prices can be higher.
  • The George Glenelg: A more upscale boutique option steps from Glenelg Beach and Jetty Road. Published rates start around A$260, with restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance.
  • Stamford Grand Adelaide: The classic beachfront splurge. Its location directly beside Glenelg Beach and Jetty Road makes it particularly appealing if you want a full resort-style coastal stay.

Choose Glenelg if: You want to combine LIV Golf with a proper Adelaide beach break.

3. Henley Beach: Best for Staying Closer to The Grange

Best for: Beach, restaurants and proximity to the golf
Distance from The Grange: Approximately 3–5 km

Henley Beach gives you one of the best compromises between staying near The Grange and still having somewhere interesting to explore after the golf. The beachfront precinct around Henley Square is packed with cafés, restaurants and bars, while the golf course is only a short trip away. The trade-off is accommodation choice. Henley Beach has fewer traditional hotels than Adelaide CBD or Glenelg, so apartments and vacation rentals are particularly useful here.

Where to Stay

  • Ramsgate Hotel by Nightcap Social: One of the more attainable traditional accommodation choices around Henley Beach. It sits just steps from the beach and has an on-site restaurant and bar.
  • Beachfront apartments around Henley Square: Often the better option for couples or groups who want more space. Staying around Henley Square puts restaurants, cafés, bars and the beach within walking distance.

Choose Henley Beach if: Being relatively close to The Grange matters, but you still want restaurants and the beach outside your door.

4. Grange and West Lakes: Best for Golf First

Best for: Prioritizing tournament access
Distance from The Grange: Approximately 0–4 km

If LIV Golf is the main reason for your trip, staying around Grange, West Lakes or nearby western Adelaide can reduce the amount of travelling you need to do each day. You won’t have the huge hotel selection or nightlife of the CBD, but you’ll be much closer to the tournament. One important thing to remember is that The Grange Golf Club did not offer general public parking during LIV Golf Adelaide 2026. Fans were encouraged to use public transport, dedicated shuttles, Park & Ride, taxis or rideshare.

Where to Stay

  • Links Hotel: A straightforward, more affordable option in Adelaide’s western suburbs and one of the traditional hotels relatively close to Grange.
  • Vacation rentals around Grange and West Lakes: Apartments and houses can be particularly useful for groups attending multiple tournament days, especially if reducing daily travel is more important than having city attractions outside the hotel.

Choose Grange or West Lakes if: Your number-one priority is getting to and from the golf as easily as possible.

So, Where Should You Stay?

For first-time visitors: Adelaide CBD
For golf + beach: Glenelg
For beach + proximity to The Grange: Henley Beach
For easiest tournament access: Grange or West Lakes
For nightlife and restaurants: Adelaide CBD
For groups: Henley Beach or West Lakes vacation rentals
For a longer Adelaide vacation: Glenelg

There really isn’t one perfect place to stay for LIV Golf Adelaide. If you’re flying in primarily for the tournament, staying around Grange or Henley Beach keeps things convenient. If you want LIV Golf to be part of a bigger Adelaide getaway, Glenelg and the CBD give you far more to do once the final putt drops.
