Accommodation Options in Frankfurt for Euro 2024: Our Top Picks

Heading to Frankfurt for Euro 2024? You’ll need somewhere to stay! As the dates creep closer, now is the time to lock in your lodgings for the big tournament. In this guide, I’ll show you where to stay in Frankfurt for Euro 2024. Whether you want to be close to a Fan Zone, near the stadium for easy access, or in the city for the best tourist experience, here’s what you need to know about Frankfurt accommodation for Euro 2024.

Accommodation Near Frankfurt Euro 2024 Venues

Frankfurt is hosting five matches in Euro 2024; four group-stage games and one round-of-16 clash. All games will be held at Deutsche Bank Park (which will be renamed Frankfurt Arena for the tournament), home of Eintracht Frankfurt. The stadium is located about an hour’s walk from the city center, a 25-minute bike ride, or a 20-minute train ride.

While public transport is the easiest way to reach Deutsche Bank Park, there’s a good chance the trains and buses on game day will be extremely busy. If you don’t want to deal with that, there are several accommodation options within walking distance of the stadium. Here are my top picks.

Park Inn by Radisson Frankfurt Airport

Park Inn by Radisson Frankfurt Airport is moments away from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) Terminals 1 and 2 and a 7-minute drive from Deutsche Bank Park. If guests are arriving by car, the hotel’s underground parking caters to 90 vehicles, including an electric car charging station. Additionally, the hotel offers a shuttle service to Terminal 1 for added ease of travel.

The hotel features 209 rooms, each outfitted with complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, climate control, and 43-inch LED smart TVs. Guests can also take advantage of the indoor fitness center, dine at the on-site restaurant and bar, and access the 24/7 vending machine for snacks and drinks.

Lindner Hotel Frankfurt Sportpark – JDV by Hyatt

The Lindner Hotel Frankfurt Sportpark is located just a three-minute walk from Deutsche Bank Park – it doesn’t get much more convenient than that! As well as being ideally located for Euro 2024 matches, the Lindner Hotel features some great amenities, including a fitness center, an on-site restaurant and sports bar, free Wi-Fi, and a garden to relax in.

The hotel has great reviews, is relatively affordable given its proximity to the stadium, and is conveniently located for public transport. It will only take you 15 minutes to take a train into the city, or 15-20 minutes to get to and from the airport via public transport. If you’re looking for somewhere quieter to stay outside of the city, this is a great option.

Essential by Dorint Frankfurt-Niederrad

Another convenient Frankfurt accommodation option for Euro 2024 is Essential by Dorint Frankfurt-Niederrad. This hotel is around a 40-minute walk from the stadium, through part of the stunning city park that surrounds southern Frankfurt. The hotel features a buffet-style breakfast that’s the perfect way to start your day!

Although this option is further from the stadium, it’s much closer to the Main River, and just a few minutes away from some of the best restaurants and bars that the city has to offer. It may not have the convenience of the Lindner Hotel, but you will find more to do in the immediate surrounding areas.

Paragon Apartments

Paragon Apartments is another great option if you’re looking for something close to Deutsche Bank Arena. Just a 25-minute walk from the stadium, or a 20-minute train ride to the city center, these modern apartments are conveniently located to give you the best of both worlds.

Paragon Apartments has an on-site restaurant with optional delivery to your room – the perfect choice if you don’t feel like going out. There’s also a fitness center, free laundry room, bike rentals, and a rooftop terrace to watch the world go by. Nearby, you’ll find a few restaurants and cafes, as well as a large city park.

Where to Stay in Frankfurt For Euro 2024 Fan Zones

Sometimes, staying close to the stadium leaves you a bit isolated from the rest of the city. Sure, it’s convenient for game days, but I tend to find that stadiums are usually located in parts of the city where there isn’t a whole lot of action. If you want to stay closer to the city center but don’t want to miss out on all the action of Euro 2024, there’s another option: Staying near one of the UEFA Euro 2024 Fan Zones.

In each host city, UEFA is setting up Fan Zones where fans can gather, watch every game free and live on a big screen, and enjoy games, music, performances, and food and drinks. In Frankfurt, the Fan Zone will be held along the northern bank of the picturesque Main River. Here are my top picks for accommodation in that area.

Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer

This eclectically decorated hotel couldn’t be closer to the Fan Zone. You’ll be a mere block away from the action, and you’ll also have a great view of either the Main River or Frankfurt’s city center. Plus, you’re only a 30-minute train ride from the stadium, and within walking distance of some great museums, restaurants, and bars.

Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer features a fitness center, free Wi-Fi, a store selling supplies in case you’ve forgotten anything, a bicycle rental, a delicious breakfast buffet, and a bar in case you feel like spending a quiet evening at the hotel.

Address: Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße 44, 60329 Frankfurt am Main, Germany

Roomers is another great option that only puts you a block away from all the Fan Zone action. With 116 rooms and suites, a bustling Asian restaurant on-site, a bar that even the locals enjoy, a fitness center, and an incredible location in Frankfurt’s heart, this is a hotel that won’t leave you disappointed.

The ultimate highlight of Roomers is the spa. After a busy day of Euro action, there’s no better way to unwind and treat yourself to a little relaxation and recovery. There’s a sauna and a whirlpool, and you can even order in-room spa treatments if you want to be truly pampered!

Address: Gutleutstraße 85, 60329 Frankfurt am Main, Germany

IntercityHotel Frankfurt

IntercityHotel Frankfurt will leave you just a 5-10 minute walk from the Fan Zone and a 25-minute train ride from Deutsche Bank Park. The IntercityHotel Frankfurt is located right next to the city’s main train station, making transport around the city a breeze.

The hotel features free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and bar, non-smoking rooms, and more. While it doesn’t have all the amenities of some of the other options on this list, it’s clean, reasonably priced, and in a convenient location for anyone traveling to Euro 2024.

Other Options for Accommodation in Frankfurt in 2024

Of course, staying near the Fan Zone and the stadium aren’t the only options for accommodation in Frankfurt. Frankfurt is relatively small, very walkable, and well-connected with public transport. You can pretty much stay anywhere in the city and won’t find it too difficult to get where you need to be. Here are some other great Frankfurt accommodation options in different parts of the city.

Sofitel Frankfurt Opera (The Luxury Choice)

If you have cash to splash, the Sofitel is a great choice. This luxury hotel won’t leave you wanting, and is in a perfect location right next to Frankfurt’s famous opera house. Not only are you right next to the opera, but you’re also in the heart of Frankfurt, within easy walking distance of the best restaurants, museums, and cultural sights that the city has to offer.

The hotel itself has a distinctly Parisian feel. It features a spa, pool, Wi-Fi, and a 24-hour fitness center. The in-house Restaurant Schönemann fuses local Frankfurt cuisine with traditional French cooking, resulting in a unique menu that you shouldn’t miss during your stay. Plus, there’s a bar with specialty champagne cocktails that are the perfect way to get your night started.

Address: Opernpl. 16, 60313 Frankfurt am Main, Germany

Hotel Am Berg (The Best Location)

While many of Frankfurt’s tourist attractions and sights are located on the northern side of the Main River, the southern side has some of the more vibrant neighborhoods and more active nightlife. Plus, it’s the best place in the city to find apple wine, or apfelwein, Frankfurt’s go-to beverage. Walk on over to Sachsenhausen’s old town area for a different experience of the city.

If you do decide to stay in this area, Hotel Am Berg is a great option. This affordable hotel puts you in a fun part of the city, but you’re still only a 15-minute walk away from all the city highlights, and a 25-minute transit ride from the stadium. The hotel features Wi-Fi, a breakfast buffet, and an outdoor garden which is lovely when the weather cooperates.

Address: Grethenweg 23, 60598 Frankfurt am Main, Germany

the niu Charly (The Budget Option)

If you’re traveling on a budget, the niu Charly is one of the best accommodation options in Frankfurt. It offers a lot more than a cheap hostel, still lets you stay in the city’s center, but won’t leave your wallet empty. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and you’re just a few minutes’ walk from the river bank.

The niu Charly has 24/7 check-in, free Wi-Fi, a delicious breakfast, and all the other staples. It’s basic, but it’s a great deal for the price, easily accessible by public transport, and not too far from the stadium.

Accommodation Tips for Euro 2024 Frankfurt Travelers

Finding Frankfurt accommodation for Euro 2024 is the first step, but you also need to keep a few other things in mind before booking your lodgings. Here are a few tips to get you started.

Budget Accommodation Tips for Frankfurt

Traveling on a budget isn’t easy, but it’s a lot easier if you’re organized. If you’re traveling to Frankfurt with limited funds, here are some tips to keep in mind:

  • Shop around for the best hotel deals and compare prices across multiple booking sites
  • Book your room as far in advance as possible – prices increase as dates get closer!
  • Consider a hostel to save money if you’re okay with sharing a room with strangers
  • Look into vacation rentals or Airbnbs if you’re traveling with a group

Because Frankfurt is a city of trade fairs and business meetings, it’s also a good idea to check your travel dates and see whether there are any large fairs or expos in the city at the same time you’ll be there. You can expect to pay significantly more for hotels located near the airport or in the city if so, and you may want to think about adjusting your travel dates if possible.

Tips for Booking Frankfurt Euro 2024 Accommodation

If you’re traveling to Frankfurt specifically for Euro 2024, here are some tips to help you book your accommodation:

  • Plan your travel as early as possible and start booking your accommodation now
  • Don’t worry about staying too close to the stadium – public transport is easy to navigate
  • If you’re really on a budget, consider camping in Germany for Euro 2024
  • If possible, book your accommodation with friends to save money

Because Euro 2024 is in summer, you can expect hotel prices to be higher than other times of the year – book as early as possible and be prepared to stay further out of the city to save money.
